Jinny Jeong

Jinny is a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.

She studied acupuncture and herbal medicine at PCU college and became a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

In Korea, she served as a middle school history teacher for 27 years. She was very interested in oriental philosophy and Chinese medicine. In 2011, she attended acupuncture class in a school teacher training program and started her acupuncture life. She was taught by famous Korean acupuncture and Chinese medicine teachers and the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment she studied helped her family’s health so much.

She experienced the effects of acupuncture greatly, and she wanted to spread acupuncture to the people around her. Jinsuk tried to share her health-related knowledge not only with her acquaintances, but also to members of the regional social meeting, Hansalim Yangpyeong branch, where she had been active for over a year, in order to popularize acupuncture.

After she immigrated to Canada, she wanted to promote the usefulness of Chinese medicine and tried to help many people with it and it made her learn Chinese medicine at college.

Through her experiences as a mother who raised two sons, she realized the importance of natural healing. Her eldest son suffered from asthma, which made him unable to exercise properly and always wears a mask in winter, and her second son suffered for 3 years from atopic dermatitis that started after BCG inoculation around 4 weeks of age. The study of the importance of natural healing from clean air and water, healthy food that acted as medicines, which greatly helped her two sons during the treatment process, opened the way for her to become a student of Chinese medicine. She thinks these experiences can be of great help to patients with similar conditions.

After she learned the importance of detox, which means the release of toxins from the body, she has been maintaining her health through regular fasting for 10 years.

Based on these various experiences in life, she would like to provide treatment to patients with acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping as well as information and advice which is necessary to increase and maintain the effect of treatment.
