Pregnancy & Infant

Pregnancy Care

The change in hormonal balance after labour can cause pain in the neck, shoulders, lower back, and migraines. Studies shows that 50% of women experience back pain during pregnancy. Those who receive regular chiropractic care throughout the duration of the pregnancy experience less pain during pregnancy and labour!

Pelvic adjustments after childbirth can improve recovery and be helpful during postpartum care to maintain a pain-free and healthy pelvis. During childbirth, the pelvis is opened about 10cm or more to push the infant out of the body. For this reason, we strongly recommend women to visit their chiropractor – pelvic adjustments are essential after birth.

Pain is also caused in the neck, back, and shoulders due to the posture maintained during breastfeeding. Chiropractic treatment will help both the baby and mother to feel more comfortable.

Baby Care

It is understandable that a parent may have many questions about how chiropractic could benefit their infant.

The spine is a very sensitive part of our body. It connects our brain to the rest of our bodies through nerves that run through it. If the spine does not develop properly, the child’s growth and development process can become disturbed.

No matter how small the spine, chiropractic is recommended for the health maintenance of the development of the nervous system and the spine’s health.
