Burn Relief Acupuncture
Burns is one of the most common household injuries and is characterized by severe skin damaged that causes the affected skin cell to die.
Most of the people think Acupuncture is for pain relief but it also helps to heal burns faster and prevents the formation of scars.
How Does Acupuncture Help in Case of Burns?
In Traditional Chinese medicine view, the fire becomes a pathogenic factor when it burns our skin. When fire damages skin and hair, it gets trapped inside, which obstruct the circulation of lymph and blood. That leads to a formation of scar since it does not allow tissues to heal properly.
When needles inserted at the sight of burns, it serves as skin pores which make it possible for fire to expel from the sight, thus promoting pain relief and maximize the healing effect.
Acuheal offers a combination of Acu-points at burn sights with other points on bodies to get a quick and scarless recovery. Acuheal recommends patient to come 3 times a week for the first week.
Most important thing is prevention, but if it happens to visit our clinic for proper and quick treatment as soon as possible to minimize further damage and infection.

What is cupping?
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine which puts special cups on the skin for a few minutes to create suction. The vacuum formed by cupping draws up the old non-circulating stagnant blood and sticky fluids from the area, bring them up to the surface and away from the injury so that the circulation can be restored to the affected area, thus creating space for oxygen, living cells and nutrients for faster recovery.
In Western physiology perspective, cupping loosens connective tissue or fascia and stimulated blood flow to the surface. Cupping stimulates tissue relaxation and better cell-to-cell communication.
Cupping can leave marks which indicates that the stagnation or disease has been moved from the deeper tissue layers to the surface.
What are the benefits of cupping?
– Remove the blockage of energy
– Increase blood flow to a particular muscle region
– Reduce inflammatory cytokines (chemical messengers)
– Helps reduce pain
– Remove toxins
